Kirchberg bei Mattighofen/Innviertel/Österreich: The Austrian Eastalent Team is testing its chances in the “Formula 1” of GT3 sports with its second appearance in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS this coming weekend (August 23-25). After the team, led by team principal Peter Reicher, had a successful first test in the endurance series at the Nürburgring, they will now compete in the shorter sprint series. “With both races in endurance and sprint, I want to test our chances. Are we ready to take the next step? Can we keep up in the ‘Formula 1’ of GT3 sports? Or will we be trailing behind the field? This is exactly what we need to find out. Afterward, I will make a decision for the 2025 season,” said team principal Peter Reicher.

A suitable driver pairing is required to compete in the sprint race at Magny Cours in France. Peter Reicher will rely on his proven driver pairing from the international GT Open. “I am very pleased to be able to take on the challenge at Magny Cours with Christopher Haase and Simon Reicher. I also want to extend a big thank you to Arkin Aka, the team principal of Attempto, Audi Sport, and Christopher Haase. In coordination with all parties involved, we managed to get Christopher behind the wheel for this important test. As the owner of Eastalent, this smooth cooperation between all involved parties supports me in my decision-making process regarding which racing series we will compete in next year.”
